Right of Medical Care
- Receive a copy of the patient and family bill of rights and responsibilities at the earliest possible moment from reception. If you are unable to understand it, please contact the Head of Reception for assistance.
- Receive comprehensive care without discrimination, provided by competent personnel, respecting personal values and beliefs, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Expect emergency procedures to be carried out without delay.
- Have appropriate assessment and management of pain.
- Receive information at discharge regarding continuing healthcare requirements and the means to meet them.
- Refuse treatment to the extent permitted by law and be informed of the possible consequences. You will be required to sign a confirmation form.
- Respect for dignity and privacy.
- Protection from physical abuse or neglect.
- Confidentiality of patient information.
- Right to refuse treatment.
- Informed consent before blood and blood component transfusion, anesthesia, surgery, initiation of research protocols, and any invasive or high-risk procedures.
- Right to give feedback and seek grievance redressal.
- Right to receive information on the expected cost of treatment.
- Right to access emergency services and clinical records.
- Participation in treatment decisions.
- Right to information and education regarding healthcare needs.
- Right to seek a second opinion regarding clinical care.
- Respect for personal values, beliefs, cultural, spiritual needs, and special preferences.
- Right to be informed about triage and initial assessment findings.
- Right to know the identity of attending doctors, nurses, and other staff.
- Right to know the medication prescribed and its route of administration.
Right of Information
- To know the Mission and Vision of the centre.
- To raise complaints regarding care directly to the Senior Manager/PRO or through the hospital feedback system (QR code, email, or feedback link).
- To donate organs or tissues. While this service is not provided at this hospital, guidance can be obtained by contacting 0471-2528658 / 0471-2962748.
- To provide accurate and complete medical history to the treating doctor.
- To follow the treatment plan advised by the consultant doctor, nurse, and healthcare team.
- To understand that healthcare professionals are human and may be subject to occasional errors.
- To acknowledge that discontinuing treatment against medical advice is at the patient’s own responsibility.
- To make timely payments for services and treatments, wherever applicable.
- To cooperate with hospital staff in maintaining hygiene, safety, and administrative protocols.
- To take responsibility for personal belongings and adhere to hospital rules and regulations.
